Renovations to the second floor of the Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia include reconfiguring existing offices and previously unoccupied space for two internal departments – Accounting and Claims. The project was designed to meet the standards of the 2015 Virginia Existing Building Code and included multiple levels of renovations with varying requirements. 

The existing office exuded classical style with heavy wood trim, solid wood furnishings and fluted pilasters. For the new centrally located meeting room, the Owner requested a more modern, switchable glazing system. Our firm carefully considered the details and blended the two styles for a coordinated design.
